On Thursday my 3 yr old started to get a fever...it shot up pretty high very fast. It was up to 104.5 under the armpit (so it was actually higher) I gave her children's Tylenol and that brought it down but as soon as it would wear off it would spike really high again eventually the Tylenol wasn't really working that much anymore. I know that a fever is actually trying to fight off an infection in the body but hers was way too high!!! So I took her too the ER they said that it was just a virus and to give her Motrin and/or Tylenol to keep the fever down. That was working but the poor girl was so miserable..well the high fever was going on day 4 1/2, which is a while to have a high fever but I wasn't too worried. So we went over to the in-laws house and while we were there 3 yr old started screaming and grabbing her side saying that it hurt...she didn't want us to move her or touch her. So we took her to Children's Hospital, and first off let me say they were SO much nicer and gentler then the regular ER..I am so glad we took her there instead. Anyways they said she had pus in her lungs which was in fact Pneumonia!!! While I have started her on regular antibiotics per Hubby's request (I loath antibiotics) I am also going to try and make a natural antibiotic and give it to her also. I am also going to be doing a major immune boosting to her little system.
So please keep her in your prayers that it heals quickly and that it doesn't spread to anyone else in the house.....Thanks :-)

The poor baby! I pray she is better soon. It's good you got her to the hospital when you did...it could have turned into a long stay there.

I wanted to recommend a site that has been helpful to me in the past, especially if you are trying to go the natural route. The site is www.welltellme.org You can do a search on a specific symptom and then see if there is a good recommended cure. These are not doctors, so go at your own risk, but these are some "tried" things that may help out when you don't know what to try.
