My menu, list, and cost

This is my menu for the next 16 days!! Although I have only 8 meals listed...we eat each meal 2 days. That way there is no wasted food and it stretches our money. This week we shopped at El Rey a Mexican food store, their produce and meat is much cheaper and great quality!!! I also don't have any breakfast foods or fruit on my list as I purchased that all on Friday. So here is our menu.

MENU
-Tuna Quesadillas ( these are not made with flour tortillas they are made with masa (corn flour dough)
-Chicken Sopes
-Chile Rellenos (poblano peppers stuffed w/ cheese) w/re fried beans and Mexican rice
-Bistec a la mexicana(thin steak cooked in tomatoes, onions and jalapenos) w/re fried beans
-Chicken in Adobo sauce w/rice
-Milanesa (thin breaded steak)w/re fried beans, lettuce and mashed potatoes
Shredded beef tacos
-Papas con chorizo (potatoes w/Mexican sausage)
Gilbert went shopping with my 8 yr old daughter ...which was a great help to me :-)

Hi Amity! Thanks for the comment on my blog.

We just started making corn tortillas with masa. My kids love them! They wanted to learn more about Mexican cooking this year. We would love to see some of the recipes you use.

I love Mexican food and your menu sounds so delicious!! Would you ever consider sharing your recipies? My friend is from Mexico and my cousin's husband is Hispanic, so I have some good recipies but not quite enough. I am always on the lookout for good, authentic Mexican recipies. I like the food better than most American dishes.

Your menus sounds great - my hubby would starve if I made that stuff though. I am the ONLY one in my house who likes Mexican food. I can occasionaly sneak some tacos or enchiladas into the menu but it's rare and never a big hit.
I try to enjoy Mexican food whenever I get a chance to dine out with my girlfriends, we all love it!

Hi, I just found your blog today. We eat our milanesas with rice and beans or my favorite way, with white spaghetti and potatoes with cream of mushroom.

Nice blog!
